{"id":1250,"date":"2023-05-10T11:20:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-10T01:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/g8education.edu.au\/?p=1250"},"modified":"2024-11-01T09:42:52","modified_gmt":"2024-10-31T23:42:52","slug":"g8-education-establishes-think-tank-education-advisory-committee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/g8education.edu.au\/news\/g8-education-establishes-think-tank-education-advisory-committee","title":{"rendered":"G8 Education establishes \u201cthink tank\u201d Education Advisory Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>G8 Education is tapping into some of early learning\u2019s brightest minds, establishing a \u201cthink tank\u201d style Education Advisory Committee of sector experts to continue to drive innovation and quality across its national network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Education Advisory Committee allows our G8 team to exchange insights with recognised experts and engage with cutting edge research in early education,\u201d said Dr Julie Cogin, G8 Education Board Member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe aim to create a think tank environment so that researchers can integrate their discoveries into learning centres to accelerate joint education goals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>G8 Education\u2019s Head of Early Learning and Education Ali Evans, Education Manager Innovative and Partnerships, Dr Mia Christensen and Dr Cogin were joined by Sue Grieshaber, Catharine Hydon and Sonia White at the advisory committee\u2019s first meeting last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am honoured to be part of the G8 Education Advisory Committee,\u201d said La Trobe University\u2019s Professor Grieshaber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI forward to working with the Committee to enact the G8 strategic plan which includes providing innovative and high-quality early childhood education to support children and families to achieve their potential.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Cogin said this is just part of G8 Education\u2019s commitment to delivering high quality, innovative education experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe G8 Education board is firmly committed to the dissemination of learnings to advance the quality of early education in Australia,\u201d said Dr Cogin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOne of the programs of work will be the role of technologies in a child\u2019s development and how it can be used to enhance cognitive and social abilities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ali Evans said: \u201cOur thought leaders will provide insights and feedback to ensure our Education Strategy is contemporary and reflective of current innovation and trends in the early childhood sector.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI believe it is crucial to have an external critical thinking lens in providing feedback on our strategy to ensure we continue to provide transformative early learning programs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Education Advisory Committee will be meeting throughout the year to progress projects and initiatives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>G8 Education is tapping into some of early learning\u2019s brightest minds, establishing a \u201cthink tank\u201d style Education Advisory Committee of sector experts to continue to drive innovation and quality across its national network.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":1249,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[8,12],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1250","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-corporate","category-sector"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
