{"id":1275,"date":"2024-07-16T13:40:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-16T03:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/g8education.edu.au\/?p=1275"},"modified":"2024-11-01T09:21:20","modified_gmt":"2024-10-31T23:21:20","slug":"g8-education-joins-supply-nation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/g8education.edu.au\/news\/g8-education-joins-supply-nation","title":{"rendered":"G8 Education Joins Supply Nation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>G8 Education is proud to announce its membership with Supply Nation, reinforcing its commitment to promoting greater economic empowerment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities and working towards Closing the Gap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Announcing the membership, G8 Education\u2019s Chief Education and Learning Officer Alison Evans highlighted the membership with Supply Nation as a significant step towards enhancing G8 Education&#8217;s vision for Reconciliation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBy ensuring our procurement decisions include Indigenous businesses, we contribute to greater economic empowerment for First Nation Australians,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>G8 Education\u2019s membership to Supply Nation reflects its ongoing efforts to setting internal Indigenous procurement targets, developing a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) with Reconciliation Australia, and increasing Indigenous employment through its programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supply Nation Chief Executive Officer Kate Russell welcomed the membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to welcome G8 Education as a member of Supply Nation and look forward to working with them to develop their supplier diversity footprint,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supply Nation, established in 2009, is Australia\u2019s leader in supplier diversity, maintaining the largest database of verified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses.
