G8 Education has today provided an update regarding its former employee, Joshua Dale Brown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additional G8 Education Centre identified in ongoing investigation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
As previously notified, G8 Education continues to work with Victoria Police, the Victorian Government and other authorities as part of their ongoing investigation into Mr Brown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following further requests for information from Victoria Police, G8 Education has identified an additional G8 Education centre where Mr Brown worked for one day on 24 August 2023. The relevant centre is World of Learning Point Cook. We have notified families whose children attended World of Learning Point Cook on 24 August 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Information about previous disciplinary action regarding former employee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr Brown was the subject of two internal investigations during his employment with G8 Education between October 2021 and February 2024. The allegations were notified to Victoria Police, the Commission for Children and Young People (CCYP) and the Department of Education (Department) and the outcome of the investigations were notified to CCYP and the Department as required by our own internal policies and procedures and relevant regulation and law. These investigations were unrelated to the charges he is now facing.
