Aligned with the purpose of nurturing the greatness in every child to grow, thrive and learn, recognition of service is built into the DNA at G8 Education with long serving team members’ service milestones recognised and celebrated.

G8 Education team member Paula Date recently celebrated her 20-year anniversary with G8 Education.

Starting as a Trainee, Paula has received most of her qualifications through G8 Education’s  providers that have supported her ongoing learning to enable her to  progress to an Educational Leader, then on to Assistant Centre Manager and Centre Manager, she then progressed to Area Manager and to her current  role in Support Office, where she is Timekeeping and Continuous Improvement Lead.

Reflecting on her professional journey, Paula shared that there are always great opportunities for team members to learn and grow at G8 if you put it out there that you want to do it.

 “G8 Education has always supported my professional development and working with G8, I have always been encouraged to learn, grow and thrive. I have always felt encouraged and empowered, it is a very supportive environment,” she said.

The teams Paula has worked as part of and alongside during her time at G8 Education have become like family, providing a collaborative space to push for better outcomes for the children, which she has been able to do across each of the roles she has held.

G8 Education’s ongoing commitment to the professional development of its team is supported through G8 Study Pathways Programs, traineeships and, the annual G8 Education National Conference – where team members have the opportunity to connect with teams from across the country, share experiences, and build stronger relationships to enhance G8’s collective impact. Additionally, team members have the opportunity to attend leading sector events including the Early Childhood Australia (ECA) National Conference to discover new industry trends and hear from some of the sectors greatest leaders and decision-makers.
