G8 Education, a leading national provider of quality early education and care is aware of the charges filed by the Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (VECRA) in relation to a historical incident at Community Kids Hoppers Crossing.
The safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority, and we take any incident relating to inadequate supervision or lapses in safety extremely seriously. While these incidents occurred several years ago, the circumstances described are deeply concerning and do not reflect the standards we, and families in our centres, demand in the delivery of early childhood education and care services.
We understand that VECRA has laid multiple charges under Victorian Law, and we respect the role of the Regulator in ensuring that all providers meet their obligations to protect children from harm.
What we can reaffirm is our unwavering commitment to child safety. Every child deserves to be safe, supported, and appropriately supervised at all times, and families must be able to trust that their children are cared for in environments where safety is nonnegotiable.
As this is now a legal matter, we are unable to comment further on the specifics of the case. We appreciate your understanding and respect for the legal process.
