What is Long Day Care?
Long Day Care is a centre-based early childhood education and care service providing all-day or part-time care for children in the general community. Long day care centres primarily provide services for children aged birth to 5 years of age. Long day care centres provide kindergarten or preschool programs and some centres also offer care for school-aged children before and after school and during school holidays. The service may operate from stand-alone or shared premises, including those on school grounds.
