What is Numeracy in Child Care and Early Education?
Numeracy broadly includes understanding about numbers, patterns, measurement, spatial awareness and data as well as mathematical thinking, reasoning and counting. Educators and teachers intentionally embed numerical concepts in play experiences and everyday routines through songs, books, games and real-life problem-solving.
